Dave Fennell Wells is a photographer and educator based in Birmingham. His focus is on depicting gardens as designed and curated spaces, using natural light to weave together planting and landscaping. His images reflect how time spent in green, well-designed landscapes supports calm, connection to nature, and wellbeing.

I am passionate about showcasing how garden design, planting choices, and low-impact practices - from peat-free growing to reducing plastics - can benefit both people and planet.

My recovery from Burnout in 2024 gave me a new found appreciation of how gardening can support our mental and physical wellbeing.

I enjoy collaborating with garden owners, designers, growers, makers, and organisations working across horticulture, sustainability, and green wellbeing.

As a probationary member of The Garden Media Guild and Professional Garden Photographers’ Association I am available for editorial and commercial commissions.
